9x18 with 42 offset at rear also what sort of tyre pressure to run?:driving
can I run 225/40/18 and 255/40/18 at rear without any rubbing

i run michelin pilot sport on my fd and have just got a set of bridgestone s02 for when the back ones need changed, avon make a very good grippy cheap tyre , the zv5

Those offsets are pretty weak so you should be fine IMO.

I run 205 width Avon zz3\'s on the front of my fd and the amount of grip they give always surprises me!

I run 245/40/18 and 265/35/18 on my 2000RS too. I think my offset is the same or a tad more aggressive than yours. I ran 275/40/17 drag radial on the track and never rubbed with countless launches, so I think  you should be more than fine with 18\'s.

The most important thing is to make sure that your tire heights are the same or close as possible.
