Got an issue with the wipers on my rx7 FD3 just wondering if anyone may have had same issue and possibly be able to tell me what needs to be done to sort it.

Basically when I first start the car and put them on they go really slow for the first few wipes. Also when using intermittent wipe. It is just that. Intermittent as it seems everytime I hit a bump in the road they stop working however I can still select the constant sweep mode

bump!

got a very similar problem. my wipers move like a chicken\'s head, they were really struggling, and would sometimes stop completely, and I had to get out of the car and pull one of the wipers off the screen and then it would just have enough power to do the other one! got some new blades on, now they are smooth but sloooooowwww....... excrutiating to watch! any ideas how to fix it?:3Confused

i use "rain x" (similar) on the screen so dont really need wipers, the rain / water just slides off (if u going over 30mph)

i have had the exact same problem. though this doesnt solve it completely, makes it a hell of a lot better.
remove the plastic grill from below the windscreen and get your wd40, then soak the mechanism in it. try to get the joint between motor and mechanism aswell (put an extra long straw on the can, its a bit hard to see where you spraying but persist) and you should see benefits.
As i said, its not a cure but it certainly helped a lot with mine. Still gotta find out why the intermittent turns itself off though :(

The motors seem to be somewhat underpowered for them :(
