Picked up some genuine TWR sideskirts last week...

I\'m still undecided on whether to keep them or not, so I thought I would offer them up to the car and take a few pics to help me decide. They are only held on by being such a good fit :D, so they aren\'t pushed right in at the arches etc...

As it was...

Left one fitted - this is the worst one, as it has suffered some damage on the bottom, nowt too bad, and easily fixable :)

Right one fitted

Hmmm, I do quite like it... :cool

To be true, I prefer without... But I love too much the front/rear Elford spoiler...

Im guessing you arent sure either, as you would have gone ahead and done it

I do like them...but I have to be 100% sure on something like this before I do it...and in this case I am still undecided...

my other main drive is a late mazda 323, with over 150 modifications, and I am still perfectly happy with every part of it :)

If anyone else fancies them, make me an offer - that might make up my mind :Hammer

Ditto.
In my opinion Fb\'s look better lowered, rather than bodykits to give the illusion their low.

Nope, you\'ll bang your legs every time you get in and wonder why you\'ve done it.

But then, as a closet purist I would say that.

What u going for 1" lowering or more?

There was a pic of a very nice red Fb lowered on here somewhere, see if i can find it.
ta stu.

Marcrs

yeah, just the 1" drop, don\'t want it scraping on the ground :)

I\'d like wide arches...but the boss won\'t let me :(
In fact, I\'m pretty sure she doesn\'t like the sideskirts...so they\'ll probably have to go...

Sorry Marcrs without skirts for me, lowering sounds good thou.

If it were me - I wouldn\'t even have bought them.  I too like Dave am a purist but it has to be your decision, you are the one who drives and drools over it - good luck.

As a general rule, I\'m not very keen on bodykits for any types of car.... it\'s probably a throwback to the 80\'s when it seemed like everyone was sticking crap looking bodykits on their capris and other cars of the era.

I think the 1st gen RX7 is such a nice looking car that it\'s hard to improve upon it, the clean lines are just spot on.

Having said that, the Elford and the TWR bodykits were well designed and made kits that do look good. The have that rare quality that they look as if they are factory fitted, not some tacky add-ons.

This TWR car looks very nice...

and the full Elford kit on here is also nice...

Going back to your side skirts Marc, I reckon you probably need the full kit.
The spoilers alone, front and back look ok but not really the side skirts by themselves.

It\'s all about personal choice I suppose. I had a red TWR and it looked the dogs danglers. It\'s just how you envisage your own car that matters.

I\'ve been guilty of fitting bodykits to crapri\'s in the past!

Had a 1.6GL crapri, tinted windows,A kat bodykit[front dam, side skirts, rear valence, bigger rear spoiler etc,was meant to look like a tickford crapri, too young to realise why everybody was sniggering when i drove it!
Looked hideous, like i\'d raided halfrauds reject bin.

Fb\'s have G8 lines, however the TWR & Elford kits do almost look oem,so personal choice i suppose.

I do like the TWR bumper lots, I think I\'ll be on the hunt once my 7s on the road, but I think both the TWR and Elford front bumpers actually suit the stock skirts and rear bumper better than their matching sets.

I like the kinda undercut behind the front wheels, and in front of the rear, after the wide aggressive front bumper. In a kinda 308 kinda way.
