Currently have a full 3" single exit kakimoto exhaust on fc.
thinking of gettign another kakimoto back box and fitting it to the other side so that it is twin exit using a y pipe that will also be 3" diameter.

will having a twin exit 3" system be louder or quieter than a single 3" exit?

cheers in advance :Thumbs-up

i would of thought quieter... less restriction and another silencer...

From physics first principles....

"If the amplitudes of the noise are the same and in sync, the volume WILL increase."
Read this as if both exhausts are exactly the same shape, diameter, length, etc. And there is equal splitting of gases down both then yeah, it will sound louder.

cheers for the reply guys :)
i thought it would be quieter as less pressure from the split of the y pipe. lucky i didnt win the auction for the other matching kaki pipe lol
