What under 30! Think you need to shop around mate I can get insured for around £500 and I was 24 when I got a quote

garethshore

the minimum age limit with peter best is now 30 with a modified rx7. is there any other recommendations?

the age varies from year to year i find.
try:
sky insurance
adrian flux
2 doritos on a stick woohoo :rollin

Confused, money supermarket etc so you get an idea on what the main insurers offer then go to a specialist a.flux, sky etc

I don\'t think your current insurance will be invalid mate as they can hardly revoke it just because they alter the age requirement, you might just struggle with the same company next year.

If you renew with them its fine, i renewed this year and also changed car from an fd to an fc and they had to go ask someone because of the new age rule but said as I\'ve used them for a couple of years with no claims they\'d waive the age limit.

not sure about the modded bit, but ive had good success with peter best today.

25,7 years no claims, 1x sp30, 6 points, fully comp for 3000 miles was 320 quid, happy days:wiggle

just gota sort my tax out then im on the road for the first time with an FD3 RX7, cant wait!!

i just got off the phone with Peterbest and they are only covering people with the Age of 30 for Modded RX7. but i think they gave me a good price.

fully comp £324 pounds plus my gf with a agree vaule on the car, 5k milage.

im 26 with 3 years NCB

i tried for a quote on wednesday with peter best and they said that i would have to be 25 (which i will be in august) but would be looking at £450 fully comp but they dont take ncb\'s into account as its a classic car policy.

Juz

it seems peter best can\'t make their minds up what or who they want to insure...

i\'ve just got off the phone to them, quoted for lightly modified rx7 (wheels, exhaust, intercooler, ecu, +40bhp) for myself (age 26, held license 8 years, no claims or points in last 5 years) and at first the chap said £283.12 with the car kept on a driveway, but then at the last minute realised he\'d made a mistake with something so put me on hold, then came back and said they now won\'t insure modified rx7\'s to any age driver unless it is kept garaged. so i asked him to quote me that out of curiosity and that came back at £438.62 !!!

rubbish. any other good classic car insurers for a 2nd vehicle worth a try?

rust

i just renew my insurance with Peter best with mods and also asked if i can add mods and they said yes! so i dunno why some people are getting age limit... footman jamies came back with a price of 438pounds but peter best done it for 295 and im 27 with mods declared :)

i think talking to the ladys is gonna help more lol....

iv just turned 18 and can insure my fd for 2.3k with bell.. if anyone on here has a son or daughter you will know thats cheap for most cars at my age.. shame mine is gunna be a track car.

im with performance direct, fully declared on a classic policy, im 25, with a classic policy it doesn\'t use no claims, so I can use that on my daily drive to drop the insurance on that :) was about £400ish for me all mods declared
