Help Clutch pilot shaft oil seal

Just had a call from the guy fitting my clutch, I need to get hold of an oil seal for the spigot/pilot bearing, I\'m just about to look for the part number, but while I do this does any one know if these are still avaliable through Mazda, it is 20mm O/D, 15mm I/D and 5.2mm thick, or could I just ues an O ring.

here is the part number you need...



I\'ve just put this one in mine when I changed the clutch.
It is available from a main dealer but I got mine via RX Motors along with the gaskets.
I\'d change the pinion bearing at the same time while you\'ve got the car apart..... you\'re only doing it once so you might as well do it right...





you need to use the proper seal.... if you don\'t and it leaks, it\'ll knacker the clutch plate

if its the same as the FD pilot bearing and seal which i think it is. ill post a brand new one to you for 25 squid

I had to buy an inlet and an exhaust gasket but only because I was doing the Elford conversion.....

if you\'re just doing the clutch, you need the clutch kit, a release bearing ( which may be included with the clutch kit), a pinion ( pilot) bearing and the seal to do the job right....
and make sure the mechanic has the proper tool to get the pinion bearing out because it\'s very easy to damage the end of the eccentric shaft....

I got mine from RX motors but next time I\'d probably just go direct to Mazda

Hi Ian, the kit came with everthing but the oilseal, Jimmy\'s show one on their website but I will try my Mazda agent in the morning.
