is that just an air pump for the emissions or is it an air con  compressor?
It\'s a big job to retro fit air-con..... unfortunately.

Its the compressor but like you say, loads of work to get that all working.
Pipework, radiator, wiring then plumbing it into the car but look on the bright side, you already got the on/off switch :D

I bet that\'ll take some shifting.... I\'ve only ever seen 1 Fb in the UK with air-con, that was that S2 scrapper a few months back.
I\'d love aircon, the feeble fb ventilation is hopeless but to retro fit aircon.... nightmare!
Compressor, lines, evaporator, dryer, wiring, relays and even the heater box itself is different I think so you\'d end up demolishing half the dash.
Even then, the seals are probably gone.

Easier to open the window.... providing the switch contacts haven\'t burnt out!

Had air con in my SA - absolutely fabulous.  Yeh would love it again but as you say too may periphials, ancillaries, processes and finally additional fuel costs - phew that\'s hot work, must turn the fan on - dam that airs warm.
