Good find Ian - shame it\'s no good for 1983 S2, I would have bought for spares.

I\'d be surprised if it didn\'t suit the S2 as well Chico. Front brake fitments are essentially the same?
Maybe worth looking at Jaz to see if there\'s any real difference.

My made up braided lines (5 pieces front and rear) were about £90 so £20 for both long fronts is a real bargain.

I thought that they were the same as well Dave.... I\'ll try and cross ref the part numbers later for you Cliff...

Hi guys, I too would have thought this part should fit the S2 - wouldn\'t have thought Mazda had gone to such extremes between series - but according to this eBay thread it isn\'t suitable for the S2.
If you know otherwise it would be appreciated.

I\'d take their \'does not fit\' with a pinch of salt. What I think they mean is \'does not accord with the entries in our database\'.

The pipe unions will surely be the same fitment, it\'s only the lengths of each section and - the most likely place of incompatibility - the front strut attachment, that could be different.

So if you\'re really keen Cliff compare the pic above with JAZ then I\'ve still got the old S3 front hoses from Gus and can take you some measurements off if you like so you can put a scale to the pic above?

Well hopefully I\'ll be home early today - it\'s \'POETS\' day where I come from will be able to measure up for compatability and take it from there.  Obviously I\'ll feedback with findings so that we can update our own data bases.

Dibs, did you have yours made up locally?  How did they compare with the USA pricing?

Cliff I had them made by Goodridge, it\'s a long drawn out story, I ordered them from a specislist in Cambs, but when they turned up they were for a FC, so I got intouch with Goodridge direct and they made them up from the info I sent them. I have the contact details somewhere and could dig them out for you if you want, it was about £100 for all five of them.

bought a pair of these today  Â£17.20 shipped. I\'ll put the sizes up when they land to compare them to Dibs pictures.

CHC (RIP)

Measured the fronts this afternoon with an overall dim of approx 490mm,
290mm from top connector to bulkhead bracket
200mm from bulkhead bracket to caliper.
Would appreciate dims Ian when yours arrive.

Will try bargain route 1st Dibs but do appreciate your help on this.

Amen to that!

Bit easier though with as carpeted garage floor - at least the cold doesn\'t strike through.  Then use the engine hoist with harness to lift you up off the floor.
