New South Eastern Rotary Meet 2011 - ***TBA***

Colin(BO05TER),Clive & Myself will be starting up a New Monthly Meet in the New Year,that will be replacing the Dartford Meet & there is alot of MRC & RX-8OC Members who live on the South Side of the M25 Area & we want to be able to offer them a Monthly Meet Location.
 
New Meet Called - South Eastern Rotary Meet
 
Location for Pub - TBA
 
Date for first Meet - TBA
 
Start Time - 7.00pm onwards
 
Day of Month - 3rd Wednesday
 
We will not be putting this on a Friday Evening,as alot of the Members in the south work weekends because of overtime etc..... & also during the Spring/Summer there are alot of Shows being attended & therefore require the Friday Evening to set up etc................

A south-east meet sounds great (seeing as I live on the south coast )


But I\'m a bit confused to be honest...

you don\'t want to meet on Fridays...as some people might work weekends...so will meet on Wednesdays...so everyone will be working the next day - or at least more people will be likely to be working.

I can understand the bit about prepping for a show, but if there\'s a show that weekend, I probably wouldn\'t attend both meets...

Got any suggestions for the meet then?  Somewhere around the M25/M23 area might be good - unless that\'s too far south?

I don\'t even get in from work until 8pm at the earliest, so Dartford is a no-no for me these days....

Grasshopper Inn near Westerham on the A25 is nice - massive car park, nice pub...great food

Well this Evening Colin & Myself went & tried out the Pub & Food & have decided this is the place to hold the Monthly Meet which will start next year from March 2011
 
We won\'t be holding a Meet in either January or Febuary due to the possible bad weather like Snow etc...............
 
So now this is where you all come in to play ,so would you like the Meet on the 3rd Sunday of the Month from 6.00pm or would you like it on the 3rd Tuesday of the Month from 7.15pm ?

If we decide to put the Meet on a Sunday Evening,then there is no reason why you & a few others can turn up earlyer !!!!
 
This Monthly Meet has to cater for everyone not just a few,like before

I\'d prefer the idea of a Sunday...I can go earlier and have a lovely lunch at the pub (glad you like it by the way )
Karissa doesn\'t get home until 7 ish some evenings, so the Tuesdays would be no good for us

It\'d certainly be a hell of a lot more convenient for me than the old Dartford location. Sundays would empahtically be more use than Tuesdays too
