Hello chaps, im new to the mazda rotary club.
I recently got hold of a fc3s jap import, which is highly modified, its half bridged ported , with a t78 turbo, and aftermarket ecu.
The car run well for the first couple of weeks, but all of a sudden the car hardly starts, blows loads of white smoke from the exhaust, then it just cuts out , and stops.
I have changed the plugs ( bur 9/ 7) , new ht leads , and leading coil pack, but it made no difference.
Also the car is running on premix, so it allways smoked a bit on start up , but then cleared after it warmed up.
Any ideas guys?

Hi there, firstly welcome to the club! Its a shame your first post was an issue, but im sure it will get resolved!

Have you checked for any possible air leaks around the intake or intercooler? Are you able to post up some photos and any specs of the car and what was happening prior to the issue, which fuel are you using?

Koose

How pressurised is your coolant when you remove the cap ?

Prof

It might be a bit hard to tell as you\'re running premix - but the smoke, you mentioned it being white - is it also slightly sweet smelling ?

Could be coolant getting into the engine (signs of coolant seal failure - as Koose above says, is the coolant system rapidly pressurizing?)

The other possibility - and it would cause the stumbling engine symptoms - is a leaky injector - causing too much fuel in the engine

Many thanks for your input guys.
The fc is in the garage now being worked on .
I forgot to add that the engine has already been rebuilt, about 1500
miles ago, so i really hope its not a water seal problem.
I will post some pictures of the car on here when i get it back.

is this gandy\'s old car?
400 BHP - 650 KG\'s = 616 BHP Per Ton of Rotary Power

That\'s the way to do it! :Thumbsup!

hello mate.

yes the car is now fixed.
there was a problem with the ecu overfuelling at idle causing it to flood.
It went to wgt to be fixed now its back at my local jap car specialist.
Hopefully i can get it back on the road soon .
still have many things to do, got some new project mu disks to be fitted, ferodo pads and braided lines.
then its into the bodyshop i think lol.
