Hi guys,

Has anyone on here had their wheels powdercoated? I hear conflicting advice saying it could make the wheels weaker due to the heating. What are your experiences?

The reason I ask is because I am thinking of getting a set of Rotas that have already been powdercoated done again to a different colour. Is this a bad idea? Would spraying be a better solution or is that not resilient as much?

If they do wheels all the time then you should be fine. Its probably from the statement I said in another post.

i had a set of wheels done with no problems, however powder coating can be quite thick if they have already had a coating that was not standard you may need to get them stripped

Got my OE Enkeis powder coated at a local company for £40 per wheel :)
