Steve Burnett

I can\'t find the tread about brake pads so I will just ask my question here.

Someone recently fitted some black dimond pads all round. How are you getting on with them??

ScuttleRX

think that was probably me, i have them now but there not on yet
I will be putting them on this week some time, hopefully the drive to from rotorstock should bed them in nicely then i\'ll provide a full report ;)

Shaq

If you could post up the results that would be cool !,
i want to see how much brake dust they release.....

thanks

Right then...............

I\'ve been using these pads for a few weeks now. I also had my brakes bled and used R600 fluid (I think). all bought from SHYAUTO (PLUG PLUG).

I\'ve got to say that I notice a big difference, I never had too much faith in the old pads I had on and they had only done about 6K miles. I never thought the REX was that great when it came to stopping but I\'ve changed my mind now. I like them, good stopping from cold and hot. I was out last night on my private road doing about 110mph and the brakes were very good at stopping at this speed. Far better than ever before.
There is not much brake dust either, I cleaned my wheels last night then went out for about a 15mile drive doing between 60 and 110mph using the brakes a lot, when I got home the wheels are still clean.

This is just my 2p and I have not tried any track days so they might turn out to be useless for this but for normal street driving Im going to keep using them.

Cost of the pads front and back was just under £100 and the brake fluid (2 bottles) under £15 if I remember right.

Thanks for the report and the plug Steve, pleased your happy.

I am happy because l have looked for a long time for pads for road FD\'s that wouldn\'t be grab n stop like the Hawk pads and fairly clean and non aggressive to all the nice wheels you guy\'s run, and they are cheap.
:) :) :) :) :)

p.s. the Brake fluid really is good stuff. :)
All the best Clive

Can you get pads that\'ll fit my egi?

I\'m running the new version of EBC\'s greenstuff at the mo and to say that the pads are \'indifferent\' when cold is an understatement! (That said once thier warmed up thier not to shabby!)

As far as we know your pads should be the same as the FD, so yes we can supply you some!
