Hi All

I am going to be spending this weekend having a good look round the new RX7 and giving it a good old polish!

Whilst making it look good is all very well, i have noticed that there seems to be a few pipes not connected to anything in the engine bay and i believe they should be! My thinking is that some mods have been removed prior to the sale and the original parts/setup has not been complete, so i am hoping the experts on here can shed some light on it. Here goes...

1st picture:

The differences to in the 1st picture above are:

Item C is missing – the L-shaped metal bung to the intake. Does this need replacing? If so, should this be just put to the standard part or is there a mod (i.e dump valve) that should go there?
Item H is not connected to anything the other end, it just hangs there
2nd picture:

Item C is not connected to anything (I presume this should bit connected to the missing metal L-shaped part ‘C’ in the first picture?)

So, the question I have is, what would you guys recommend I connect up and what parts do you recommend?

Many thanks

Do you have an after market dump valve, ACV and air pump, also are the holes bunged up on the intakes?

Hi, thanks for the reply,
No, i don\'t have an aftermarket dump valve (do you need 2 with it being a twin turbo?)

Where should the dump valve sit, where item C is or on the end of the pipe H?

Unfortunately, there are no bungs on either pipe C, item C into the hardpipe or on the end of pie item H. Is this an issue? Will it be safe to drive it (carefully), like this?

Thanks

You don\'t have to worry about pipe "H" it just vents anyway, if you don\'t have the little breather (6) with HKS written on it then just get a little breather on the end of the hose coming from "G".

If you don\'t have part (11) stick a coke bottle lid or similar in the hose after drilling a couple of small hole in it, this will stop you getting the Moo sound when you change gear.

If you had an aftermarket dump valve (you only need one) that would free up "C" or "E" and then you would only have to block up the hole in "D", or just get a plastic 90 degree bend from Halfords and use PTFE tape if its slightly loose.

Many thanks for the feedback,it\'s in line with my thoughts.

Thankfully I have the breather (6) and part 11 so the only thing I need is an L shaped part to connect the rubber pipe to hard pipe D until I get a dump valve.

Any recomendations on the best dump valve?

Cheers

Rob
