Hey guys.... its been a few weeks since ive posted any updates to the FB so here goes.

We spent the day servicing the FB with a nice oil change and cleaning of plugs and also trying to trouble shoot our engine start issues.

The day started as it always should... with some nice cups of tea/coffee

got the car up on stands to drain the fuel out of the exhaust as we found that the carb was just staying open and passing fuel straight through the engine into the exhaust and into the engine bay (not too good)

We found about a pint of fuel when we pulled the exhaust center section apart.

We also found the oil which we drained to contain alot of petrol...
we called it Foil....

We then popped to Steve\'s house (Steve-A) and started stripping the carb with the help of the full manual and yet again cups of tea/coffee

Pure filth!

Gave everything a clean using trusty carb cleaner.

We then headed back to mine to finish off the service/repair after cleaning the carb out the best we could, Once back home and with the carb re-fitted we got the car running again and this time on both rotors....there was however a decent amount of white smoke coming out of the exhaust.
We also removed the air pump as it was seized and didnt have a belt attached to it, so im now running pre-mix. We then put some fresh fuel in and let her run for a good 20 minutes but found she wasnt coming upto temp properly and then decided to head home as it was a wet day and was getting late.

This weekend we decided as the car wasnt heating up correctly we would check over the coolant system.

Rad out for cleaning out and a lick of paint :D

the spray booth

we then refitted after clearing out the rad which had some lovely coloured water/coolant in and put a new thermostat in aswell. We started the car and once again let her run in for a while. the smoke has now completely gone and she was now getting up to temp much better and the dash warning light had now turned off.

so..... after another nice day and some cleaning with some scratch x and and even time for a little BBQ :) we once again headed home...Until next time! :D

heres some other photo\'s i took of the car and the crew.
