Is there a part / sensor that could cause a serious over fuel problem? Trying to start my rex and ended up with a puddle of V Power on the floor from the exhaust............must have been at least a quids worth!!

Possibly, any ideas how they stay open or what to do or change?

i would say stuck injector too! remove the egi fuse, and pull the plugs, turn it over (10 second blasts with a break and do that about 20 times...with the throttle wide open) then dry plugs off and put them back in and replace the egi fuse... see if that helps, might just be massively flooded... if it does it again i would look at the injectors.

Many thanks! I shall give that a try then i\'m going to throw in the towel and take it up to someone who has a better idea than me ie. Haywood.

Did u try the deflooding procedure? When was the last time u changed the plugs?

rx-dave

Tried it twice now today, as soon as we put the egi fuse back in it tried to fire but then you can see the petrol mist comming out of the exhaust. The plugs were changed around 2k ago, i can\'t see them all going down at once as it was driving so nicely the day before. The emissions were really high though last month at MOT time, something like 7.50...........does this sound like knackered injectors?
Many thanks in advance :chat

Many thanks for all your help guys, my car lives once again!! I had a chat with Carl at Hayward earlier and armed with all the advice from you helpful lot we had a final try and she\'s now running :driving.
I am getting a miss-fire at around 4000RPM when pushing it but i can rev to 8000RPM if driven gently, split pipe perhaps??
Dave.

All sorted now and flying once again! Faulty boost sensor :Hammer  Replaced that and i\'m now a happy chappy!!
