Aternator bearings

Sorry for so many trivial questions guys but i figure if someone can save me a couple of hours then i\'ll risk looking silly.
does anyone know the bearing size for the series 2 alternator?
also whats the best way to polish up these cast pieces? may as well try make it look good while it\'s off..
