The rubber from my OE mounts is completley fubar\'ed.  I do have some delrin ones but I think they are too hard and will transfer mucho vibration.

Is there any other options (anyone make polyurethane ones?) or would it be best to shout out for some OE ones?

Prof

I\'ve got some hardish nylon ones on mine - engine vibration isn\'t excessive - but it does almost completely eliminate \'engine wobble\'.

From my experiments, the worse vibration/noise comes from the gearbox mounts - keep them rubber and you\'ll be fine.

Are the delrin ones really going to be harder than poly ones? Doesn\'t seem too likely tbh! Just go fairly solid and you\'ll be fine!

racingbeat or mazda trix sell uprated rubber ones which i used as i found the the delrin and polybush ones too harsh,  they also sell uprated rubber gearbox and diff mounts whichi went for.

That\'s the way to do it! :Thumbsup!

To be honest the delrin ones seemed to have no give what so ever.  I had a look at another another bush made of poly and that seemed to have a tad of give - ok not scientific I know, but thats how they felt.

Ok so as this isnt a track car then Im thinking standard mounts or the uprated racing beat ones (which they say are 40% stiffer.) Guess Mazda\'s prices will make that one up for me ;)

Racing bear - $76 plus delivery
Mazda - TBC!

Fair enough, well drop me a mail if you want to sell the delrin ones... Although if it\'s more than £25 or so I can get a mate to make some poly ones up! (yes I know, awesome prices for a pair!)

I run solid mounts on both engine & gearbox. Egine isn\'t bad at all but the gearbox one is whinny & the solid mount is def slowy killing the gearings in the box due to them taking any need play on acceleration or de-acceleration!

antnicuk

james,  isnt yours an RX8 engine?   if so they are a lot better balanced than a 13bt, hence a lot smoother.

If not, i have got you confused with someone else.

Nope your right it is I with renesis power fc, like i said engine is fine, the gearbox is the problem really wanna get some hard rubber mounts gotta be better than solid mounts!

antnicuk

if you have solid engine mounts then just go for stock mazda rubber gear box mounts, they are really easy to change.
