Still waiting for all the front suspension bits and brakes too turn up :Snoring . Meanwhile the inner rear floor , turrets and bulkhead tinwork is nearly finished . The new sections have been bead rolled too match the original floor pan pressings . :)

Dropped off the inlet manifold , turbo , front wheels , front wings and flared front arches today . We\'re still waiting for the front suspension bits :Snoring so moving onto the turbo install and wheelie bars for now or else the project will grind too a halt .
Took a few pics so i will post them up later after i\'ve finished work tonight . :yes

RX7 engine fits in bay perfect . Will be a tight squeeze with wheelie bar brackets and big turbo install though .

Front end waiting to get chopped once the bits finally arrive of course .

I can\'t wait to see this in action. Excellent build thread sir!

re japi

Ya, wont be seeing that kind of thing in every corner. :)
Power is nothing without control. Weight is enemy of performance, handling and braking.

Cheers Chaps . After some head scratching we\'ve decided too mount the turbo onto the chassis with a small frame too hold the weight and then make a one-off tubular exhaust manifold to it\'s new positon . Exhaust side will face towards bulkhead and air filter side will face outwards (save burning people when they look in the back) . Inlet will run across bulkhead into charge cooler and then into throttle body (hope that makes sense) .
I need too speak to Jaydee and Ed and get their input on external wastegate size and throttle body/inlet pipe sizes etc etc .
It\'s getting to the exciting bit now so i can feel a bank loan comming on so i can get it driving sooner !!!! ha ha :Giggle

Keep the turbo piping the same size as the turbo outlet, but fit as big as possible charge cooler for ultimate cooling.

Where are you getting the cc from?

600gaz

Using one of those AVT charge coolers like the one on yours Grant . They do a complete universal kit as well which is handy .
Need a fuel rail , injectors and throttle body soon as well as we might need to lower the inlet manifold down a bit too make more room and don\'t know how much room we have ? Do they run 2 or 4 injectors for 500+bhp ?

colum

some great fab work there dude :)

you\'ll need 4 injectors no matter what to get it to drive smoothly

850 primaries and 1680 seconds are the norm for most 500hp setups :)

600gaz

Ok thanks for the info mate .

Yeh the kits are prety damn good, comes with everything you need instead of sourcing bits here and there, I remember you saying the CC rad is going at the front of the car?

Might I suggest running the CC water pipes through the car, that way you can avoid getting them damaged.
