Rolled my fd out of hibernation for a brief run out this morning, re-connected the battery and removed the wood chocks from behind the wheels and apart from having to put a bit of air in the tyres she is running perfect as ever.

Its a great feeling driving her again ran up a solid 0.9bar boost with no smoke or anything, duties are still below the 90% mark and after 10-20miles all the suspension and bushes etc had softened up nicely.

Just bloody chuffed and relieved, parked it back up now after a warm water washdown and back in the garage.

Anyone else been out for a xmas freshen up ??

Nice. Mine is also in a deep sleep but started her this morning after a month off, fired first time. I`ll take it round the block next week. You get some funny looks when you drive an fd with missing panels, no lights etc.:Giggle

use mine every day, so that will be a yes from me

Did you put fresh fuel in before you boosted as the fuel will probably be 5 Octane by now lol

Mine is my only car so it\'s been driven in the snow, been under a few inches of the stuff. Never had any problems starting either. I mainly use it at the weekend and even after a week of standing outside in the freezing cold, rain, snow, whatever it still starts :)

Just got to get down to Carl\'s for a tweak to my map.

Still sheet ice here, so she\'s not going anywhere - fired her up the other day and after two slowish cranks she fired and warmed up nicely.  Only thing is I\'m having to climb in and out the boot as the doors are iced shut :D

I\'m just more and more impressed with mine, coming up to 16 years old, was left out in the snow/ice and freezing temps of the past few days. Today I cleared off the 2 inches of snow, scraped the windscreens. Started first time, no problems :)
