THE FIRST TO BE FITTED??? TO an rx 8 and to be fully functional AND BOY WHAT A difference to the power /fuel and running of the supercharged engine
 
 
The HKS IS ECU is has been selected and fitted in conjuction with TDI and HKS themselfs as the choice of aftermarket ECU’s for the management of fuel and ignition timing for this the RX-8  because it is comes with a high quality harness to make connectivity a simple operation, and it’s level of quality and functionality is extremely high.
 
The main features of the IS ECU is over it’s preceding :result of methodical testing it has been concluded that the HKS FCON is is a cost effective optimum different perform installation enhanced upgrade solution on the supercharged Mazda RX8. this system has been extensively tested over the last 5-6 months and is now a standard part of my car.
 
the full figures and mapping results will become available the figures from a before hks was fitted just the supercharger engine and reflash and the after figures that TDI has done with the new HKS system fitted the rest of the cars systems are still dealt with the cars original ecu there is quite a remarkable difference in torque/and bhp and this is not using the full potential of the supercharger

just looking at the title and i dont mean to be nitpicking, but isn\'t the HKS F-con IS different to the F-con pro?
i read the IS to be a piggyback ecu where as the pro is a standalone?

Pro isnt standalone, it plugs into original ecu as it needs data that the HKS unit cant read

yes we  have had some issues with the hks fcon pro :Hammerso now the engine management is running solely on the hks fconIS and feeding the rx 8 any info that it requires as the hks fconIS is 25% faster than the Mazda and it now seems to be doing a good job it has certainly done the job of sorting out my fuel issues:mmmm with having the supercharge fitted and i get the data read outs on the hks camp 2 system screen or can log them to the dude logger:Giggle:Laugh

Its been well over two months trouble free motoring on this new f con "IS" from TDI the benefits have been more bhp,fantastic starting at all times, most of all better fuel economy,the f con "IS" has completed 2300.miles with less oil used. all i can say i think its well worth the time and money spent, if your going to fit a supercharger to the rx 8 then this might be one of the ways to go rather than just a remap its belt and braces :Giggle this item will have paid for its self by the end the year its definitely a big :Thumbsup! for me:WaveBye could some nice moderator  change the title to "HKS Fcon IS" first RX8 for the UK  ??   thanks t.c

sounds good mate have a couple questions though 1 when its installed is there no mapping or do the garage fitting it tune it to your specific car and the other is du have a link to TDI\'s site I cant seem to find them and im looking for a decent garage nearby to work on my 8.

the supercharger was fitted by trimar the TVR center who takes on the work for pettit racing this supercharger that thay fitted only comes with a remap
 
Tdi will check your car out first befor doing any work and let you know what is happening step by step both companys are very good but as for costs i cannot comment due to alot of the work done by tdi was for free

Im not sure il go the supercharger route but the Fcon sounds interesting and from what you say TdI seem decent.

RE:Worx have been doing this for a few years......and now can re-flash the stock ecu so no need for piggybacks :3Confused

To add - the IS is not the same as an FCon Pro.
 
So not the first and not an FCon pro :spank
