Right then guys, I\'ve been at it again & thought I do a how to on this.......

Basicaly I had a set of static aftermarket mirrors on the car that look good, but wern\'t realy practical (as the mirror was so small!!) so I got a set of std FD mirrors to cut about & rectify the problem!

Anyway, enough blab...... time for pics & discriptions:

Pull the internals out of a std set of door mirrors:

Now split them apart & cut what you don\'t need off!!

Now trim the mirror mounting plate down, keeping the threaded bits on the back so the adjusters will work:

Now it\'s time to cut up some plastic to mount the motor:

Cut the plastic down & mark where you need to bend it:

Once it\'s all cut to shape & solid:

Fix the motor to it:

Now all you need to do is feed the wires through a conveniant hole & mount up the plastic bracket with the mirror adjusting plate attached:

Now all you need to do is bond the mirror glass on (I had some cut for the job, as the old ones were too small!!)

Now mount them up & plug into the std wireing loom on the car! Hey presto, electric aftermarket mirrors:
