not starting... HELP PLEASE!

ok im confused, i have had the uim and tb off, im gonna take it off again tomorrow, but wanted to see if someone had any ideas.

all back together, turn the key it turns over, but faster than normal, the fuel pump doesnt prime, however you can hear fuel pumping in the engine bay and if you grab the fuel pipe at the back and squeeze you can feel fuel going through but normally you would hear the quick buuuurrrrrrrrr as it primed... and its not doing that.... is there a relay for the fuel pump?

also what else that is slightly weird, there is a wire coming from the fuel pump (top of it in the boot) running down the length of the car and plugging in to the fuse box, where the fuel pump fuse should be, there is no fuse in there this wire is just plugged in where the fuse would be on the right hand side of the fuse terminal... this dont seem right to me and i cant see any fuse built in to this wire :3Confused:3Confused:3Confused

joke is car was working 100% fine i took the uim off to polish and i have just fitted it back on

from what i could see with the uim fitted the plug leads are all still connected, is there a fuel pump relay? if so where? i checked all the fuses under the bonnet and they all seem fine, so im really unsure what to do, but the pump not priming is worrying me?
