have my twin turbos just died ????

just drivin my car down the road with only 1 turbo working as the secondery turbo packed in 2 weeks ago next thing u know the road is covered in white smoke so i pulled over and stopped the car as it was coming out of my exhaurst popped the bonnet and undone the oil filler cap and white smoke started pouring out of there also so left it a few and started it again and it started first time and had good oil pressure but still smike came out the exhaurst can anybody tell me has my twin turbos just gave up there life ? ?

may old Escort RS Turbo did this back fire then white smoke out the exhaust the turbo had gone pop. When it went for a turbo re-build the guy just took the hose off it and loads of oil pored out then gave me the bad news oil seals had blown!
