hi, I am Nugget, this is my FB first weekend with it at home and after a good wash !!!!

lewisneale

right, had a good look over the car and i have made a list of things to fix/do over the next couple of weeks/months.

1. exhaust is blowing from somewhere, i think its at the manifold and have bought a gasket and just need to pick it up and then fit it. thanks TOOL + OLDONE.

2.the tacho/rev counter is not working, the dash lights and the stereo are also not working, not sure if these could all be related to a fuse or certain part of the wiring.

3.fog light was lose and not working so i have removed it till a later date.

4.the squirters for the front screen are working but no water is making it to the screen, i think this could be a snapped pipe in between the bottle and the nozzle.

5.sunroof mech will not open or shut the sunroof, its closed so not too bothered about that at the moment.

6.seems to be a small oil leak when the car is running or has been running, it looks like its from underneath the oil filter/cooler area and drips down the side of the block. its not too bad !!

7.i have found lots of wiring connectors not connected in the engine bay and under the dash, some don\'t look like they can go anywhere, some look the same as others that are already plugged in,

8. whilst washing it tha M came off the rear badge,  so now its called an AZDA
i can glue this back on or maybe get a new badge so it doesn\'t happen again.

anyone with ideas or knowledge that may help me out with any of the above ^^^^^^^^^ please don\'t hesitate in telling me. :D

cheers.

Hi Lewis.
4 Front Screen Squirters. Check out the little tee connector accessible down in the front panel just in front of the windscreen. The sun rots it.
6.The oil leak under the filter - find the Series 3 guides just been posted on here by Andrew (Jinx). The 1st guide (there are 2) describes the problem just as you\'re describing it. Tim White at RX Motors recommends some \'Viston\' O rings for under the oil filter that dont go brittle. The rest of the guide is good as well.
7. Yes there are loads of connectors that don\'t go anywhere that\'s normal.

Nice looking FB there mate, regarding the fog light though I converted one of my reverse lights to a fog light-just a lamp holder off a scrapper (hi Tim!!) and a red lamp and bobs your uncle. Tidys the back end up a treat.

Is a great car mate and will be loads of fun once the little problems have been sorted out. :driving :3gears-rh

Been thinking and thinking but don\'t know why RON. Remember quite a few FB\'s got that wine interior (including our Gus), so hope it\'s a nice name.

I\'ll let Mr Nugget tell the story. But it\'s to do with the interior, and the quote adam posted.
