Hi guys, I went drag racing yesterday and it seems that the clutch was slipping on boost down the strip, so I got rubbish times, I could smell the clutch afterwards, but I thought that might just be cause of 1 of the launches.

The issue is now that every now and then I can feel the clutch judder slightly as I engage, could I have got the clutch so hot its warped?

I don\'t mind if it is as I have an ACT clutch in my spare room, so I have a replacement if needed.

Another thing I need to ask regarding clutches is that when I install the ACT sprung 6 puck clutch, will the drive train be ok with the harder changes, my car is an FC, so my drive shafts aren\'t made of toothpicks like the FD, was just wondering about the extra forces on the drivetrain with a more aggressive clutch set up?

i had some wierd cerametalic clutch in mine and it was fine ( 3 puck one ) - only thing that gave up straigh after fitting was the clutch master clyinder :(

The stiffer spring pressures in the uprated clutches will give your master & slave cylinders a good kicking.  I have the car Grinder mentions above, in the end I brought a new master a slave cylinder to save all the hassel!

I think my master is ok, my slave cylnder is basically a blob of rust with a tube in it, neither Prof or I know how its still working lol
