ive decided to keep it stock looking for the outside and play with whats underneath, only concern is when im adding more power is it getting to hot if i dont run a vented bonnet, anyone running big power with no vents?

Nik da Greek

Most of the heat goes out underneath the car when moving, down the transmission tunnel and that. A vented bonnet does help, especially at a standstill, but is more essential when you go to a V-mount setup of intercooler and radiator, because you\'ve changed the dynamics of the airflow through the engine bay quite profoundly and it\'s difficult for air from the intercooler to get out to the bottom of the car.

short version...no it\'s not essential to have a vented bonnet when upping the power, but it does help!

yeh, popped up to WGT today and was talking about there v-mount kit, it will be something for the future(prob 6months) so will have to think about a bonnet then

On a lighter note i used to work for an oil company and they have a weigh bridge for tankers, its set up and calibrated every single morning to make sure its correct, anyway tonight i popped down to get the FD weighed and it came out at 1250kg which im dead happy about as i was expecting 1300kg with the subs and amps etc, was low on fuel tho so might affect it but took on a 320bhp evo 6 tonight and there was nothing in it so seems to be running well
