After more extensive research and an accidental discovery whilst staring up at the ceiling I thought I could offer even cheaper rotors than the aluminium ones. These new rotors of mine will consist of two of these incredibly suitable light fittings (light rotors-geddit)? After Crimbo we all have those empty sweety tins, well, what  I\'m doing is using the outer edge of the sweety tins(biscuit tins will do) and welding the two fittings together with the tin inbetween. This will give incredible lightness(light-ness-geddit, never mind) and great strength resulting in even higher rpm\'s than the ally ones.Orders are now being taken.Bob.:Hammer:Hammer:Hammer:Hammer

I must say that i am amazed by these post you\'ve been putting up lately on the design of lighter and lighter rotors. I think its great to see people coming up with new ideas and then having the time, effort and pactince to see their ideas being turned in to reality.

My only concern with these ultralight rotors is that once they\'ve come to the end of their life within an engine, they\'re not going to be heavy enough to make a good door stop :D

One of the advantages of this light rotor that I failed to point out is that you also get 6 lamps with it and, assuming the extension is long enough, they will enable you to see where you\'re going when blatting down those unlit country roads, Bob.
