fuel cap

hi guys im wondering if someone can help me with a little problem i have. the fuel cap release is not working and therefore i cant get fuel into my fd. if anyone has expirienced this in the past could you give me any advice on how to go about solving this problem. thanks for any help guys.

what exact is the problem.  is the lever when you push down seems loose?  you may have the pin that holds the filler cap in place stuck inside and not releasing.  Just try to flick the cap open and then just pull the pin out with your finger and use some wd40 so its free moving.  I hope that helps

thanks for the quick reply. the cable feels fine and pulls fine but the cap just doesnt open. will try what you suggested though.
