An fd omp only has 2 injector outputs whereas the fc engine requires 4

Oh well worth asking, thanks for the info

does any mx 5 diff fit the fc or does it have to be a specific model and have any of the mx5 models have an lsd fitted, i need an lsd for my fc.

lennycarloff

The lsd of a fd or rx8 will fit and as there are lots of dead rx8 there are plenty of cheep diffs out there

vinnythespud

i did a quick ebay search and found a few diffs at reasonable prices but they all looked different, am i correct in thinking the i need to swap the internals over, given the choice would you go with a  viscous or torsen?

lennycarloff

You change the internals ,there a good file with all the specs in it somewhere that I downloaded, I have a look for it when I get home at the weekend, there\'s a bit to set up and for what it is worth I recommend getting a garage to do it .as far as what type to get is personal choice (how quickly it locks up, how aggressive) .

The FD front hubs take the FC brake calipers and discs, only difference is the two bolts that hold the disc to the hub, they are misaligned but not really needed anyway.

What type R32 radiator fits the turbo fc, the gtr, gts etc? This is a good thread, but it would be better if the suggestions/items were a bit more specific. Im still confused about whether the FD brakes fit a turbo fc or not! Is it the calipers/discs/pads or all 3 that fit directly?

Thanks

Lee

The FC and FD brake setups are exactly the same.

Ok silly question time - , so if the FD and FC brake setups are exactly the same, whats the point of upgrading to the FD setup?

Are you asking me why I'm putting FC caliper a on FD hubs? Because they aren't going on either. I'm using the FD hubs because they're the easiest to fit, I just happen to have FC bits laying about to use.

No, im just asking in general to the thread. The start of the thread says FD brakes are interchangeable, and the question I guess im asking is, are the FD brakes bigger/better than the FC, and do they simply bolt on, if I were to upgrade my FC brakes?

They are exactly the same as each other.

Ok cool, thanks. Does anyone know about the R32 radiators at all?

I put FD front calipers on my FC , they are a straight fit with no messing at all

Ive read that the FD Calipers are less likely to seize up like the FC ones can
