I\'ve noticed that rotary owners are always unsure of who too use for their repairs/rebuild/servicing/mods/etc.
Would it be helpful to have a forum to post our experiences with the various vendors (or could it turn into a flame pit!!!)

(I think FDUK have one, but it a bit difficult to interpret)
Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something.

I believe this would be a great idea as it stops us going to the wrong people, i think the problem lies with legality and the possiblity of legal action??

For the record i went to WGT engineering in Northwich on Friday to replace my radiator and can honestly say they are very very good at what they do!! very helpful, could see the car from where i was and was kept up to date on all things being done. OK so it cost a bit more but you do have to pay for the best results, using the cheaper guys sometimes ends up being more expensive in the long run, get it done proper in the first place.

Just to add my views on some of the available specialists:-

WGT, brilliant...just be warned Pip is usually very busy so be prepared to wait a day for him to return a call etc.
JIMMY\'S again a brilliant source of info and spares.
ROTEKNIKS,  Not sure what to make of these guys, they are the nearest independant specialist to me and I went to them the first time I was after parts for a rebuild, but I still have a lingering feeling I was ripped off.  Cant fault thier knowledge or helpfulness though.
HURLEY ENGINEERING, I dont recommend Hurley to be honest, I ordered a sports exhaust from them, £850 later it arrives with the wrong down pipes and made out of mild steel.  In this day and age can I be forgiven for expecting a stainless system for that kind of money?!?  They made me drive to ****ing coventry to change the down pipe over despite it being thier fault, wouldn\'t supply me with a proper gasket either.
I\'ve heard many other horror stories about them since (Last time I went to them was in 2002) so ask around, I may have been unlucky.
TW WHITE & SONS, Mazda dealers and rotary specialists since the year dot.  They have never let me down yet and are more than willing to track down parts for you. They are very busy with rotaries and it may be a few weeks before they can fit you in for a compression test/ECU read etc.

If any of the above companies want to disagree with what I\'ve said then please feel free to email me on XvictisX@aol.com

It will be one of those odd threads mainly due to the fact some people are happy with a particular vendor and others are not happy with the same vendor. So there will never be a clear cut use these guy\'s but don\'t use these. I\'m a mod & a vendor so best I don\'t speak my mind and the truth concerning other vendors as it would not be politically correct. However I do personally recommend rxmotors.
That above statement should knock atleast 30% off of the work on my white car:cool

yep my experiances:
Hurley (do a search for full nasty description) but local to me so theoretically the co. of choice but utter poo treated my custom like shyte crap diagnosis of my problems & said "those that like us use use those that dont can fuk off"
WGT/Pip Excellent service diagnosis & otherwise, didnt notice prices being OTT & generally top notch! Plan to travel to use for all my work necessary or otherwise......
Ross @ Dragon Been to visit him for Parts & very helpfull & equally has sent parts i\'ve order as soon as available (although it is worth checking avilability this is same with anyone & parts cannot keep a level of stock on offchance) & good value!
Geff @ RE:worx  Only experiance in terms of parts but very good on supplying to order & at good & agreed prices, plugs in particular very competetive as i recall...

Si
PS good idea talk of actual total experiances rather than just sumin that seems worth posting is good idea IMO as while bad news is always likely to spread faster than good it does seem a cunning plan to mention all experiances of any suplier good bad, average or otherwise IMO......

PPS think it was mentioned on another board the idea of putting a thread up in an appropriate area for each supplier & anyone having use them can post a 1 liner to summarise good bad etc or general feedback (good for both customers & suppliers surely) on their experiance, good idea & possible for MRC?

look a post by me without smilies lol

I think this kinda thread is good, but we shouldn\'t post complaints in here incase it turns ugly and start arguments?
