Good lad David a local man a lot older than me has bought a 1st gen series 2 car that was in a shed locally  Will find out more and get you reg gary

.

Mine are like this - ie. they have "Elford" cast into them.
I used to assume they were basically a variant of old Fiesta wheels - which I remember as looking identical. Shows I don\'t know much about them I am afraid.

Quote from: myatt1972;712714Welcome John,
Hope the mot goes well, I know Tardebigge quite well as I work for Anglo Welsh narrowboat holidays and we have a base there.
I suspect Ian65 will be in touch with you soon as he is doing an elford conversion, I also have an elford set up but its on the garage floor.
Keep us posted, would love to see some pics.
Keith...

Hi there.
We live about a half mile the other end of Tardebigge tunnel - just opposite the old Engine House. Give me a ring next time you are in the area and have half an hour to spare - I will make you a cup of tea...

Sold for £967.54 The reg must be worth more than that.

In the advert and in an answer to a question the seller says it\'s 1977, vintage and therefore MOT exempt. Ehhh?

Quote from: syebba;719542Inspector Nock, how many Elfords left now?
ta stu..

I count the following:

Series 1......2 SORN/Project Cars

Series 2......3 Roadgoing,......6 SORN/Project Cars

Series 3......1 Roadgoing,......6 SORN/Project Cars

There are also some 13BT\'s, Garretts, TWR kitted cars, but I have only totted up cars where I am reasonably certain an Elford kit is fitted.

Quote from: CHC;719560I always considered the RX7 in light green metallic coachwork looked very dignified but am I correct in saying that there aren\'t many remaining in this shade?
Over to you Detective Nock - any latest figures available?

Count reveals the following S3 cars are Opal Green Metallic:

Roadgoing............6  out of 47

SORN/Project........12 out of 87

Unclass (No Reg)...3  out of 20

No S2\'s or S1\'s have appeared in this colour. (That\'s 70 S2\'s and 23 S1\'s).

Now then Dibs, there\'s some very clear and concise people with RX7\'s over there....I\'m sure you don\'t mean them...... Diplomat Boy speaking here.

It\'s just this cars looks nice but how can any car be MOT exempt? Is Eire different to UK?

Out of interest David, have you got up to date numbers of how many s1, s2 and s3 cars are on the road right now?

The data you\'ve managed to pull together, knowing the where abouts of so many cars, is really amazing.
1984 Rx7: Gold. Edging towards roadworthyness!

Yes, in SORN Stu.
John will most probably give us the nod when he\'s road going but I do a check across the board occasionally so things don\'t get missed.

I guess Elford were stronger in the early years of the 1st Gen rather than in the Series 3 years??? Any other ideas?

No Probs Steve:

Series 3 ............Roadgoing 47.......SORN/Project 87..........Unknown/No Reg 20

Series 2.............Roadgoing 24....... SORN/Project 40.........Unknown/No Reg 6

Series 1.............Roadgoing 5..........SORN/Project 15.........Unknown/No Reg 3

That\'s as of today.....

There\'s a lot of help gone into this compilation though - people sending me emails & PM\'s, people trawling the bay and elsewhere - people getting out to talk to strangers - even now Tim\'s at death\'s door with his leggies all stung by nettles whilst I just sit here pushing buttons.
But the task does suit me as I find it fascinating...
Well weird or what?
