Hey guys another newbie here... Recently hung up my leathers for 4wheels and the only thing i wanted was the RX.
Pick up my FD in a week or so, havent had one before and have big plans for her.
Looking for any advice anyone can give and the oppotunity to meet up if people are about. ( Reading/basingstoke area).

I dont know how long she will be on the road for as she has 52k on the clock and i gather from the forum she will be on her way for a rebuild soon.I am however buying her from a guy who took care of her, but knowing my luck she will go pop before I get any enjoyment.

I have managed to buy myself some xmas presents to fit when she arrives.
*    Blitz cat back exhaust
*    Knight Sports 4-Beat ECU
*    Airinx (Trust) Induction kit
*    EBS Type 2 boost controller
*    HKS injection pulse monitor
*    Trust Intercooler pipes
*    RE-Amemiya Roll cage ( cheap off a pal ) not sure wether to fit??

Unfortunatly im stuck on where to go next , Intercooler seems the obvious option but i just want her to run better rather than gain mental HP.

Any help or opinions guys would be great,

Glad to be here

regards

Welcome to MRC firstly,

Secondly its never written in stone that 60k is the rebuild time, they can last longer if the car has been well looked after and has usual power and not massive power output.

Over 70-75k can be seen.

Welcome, nice to see another two-wheel enthusiast making their way over here! What were you riding that made an FD seem practical, safe, economical transport? A meth-burning \'Busa?! :Giggle

FD practical, we will see, nah i had a ducati 748 but it just didnt have the pace i was after, ive still got the R1 but thats track bred only, Needed something for the road.

and the FD is sex on four pieces pf rubber, loved them foe so long , and now i just want to rip her to pieces and change everything. . .  go figure :)

Hahaha! A 748! Well, the FD will seem like practical, reliable transport then! :rollin

Seriously, though, it\'s the nearest I can find to two wheeled performance on four wheels, if that makes sense. Obviously it\'s never gonna be a fast (or as quick, anyway) as your R1, but it\'s an involving thing to drive, just like a bike, you\'ve gotta drive it, not just sit there. My FD remind me of nothing so much as the glory days of two-stokes, noisy, antisocial, smoky, temperamental, thirsty, fragile, etc, etc, but just like the rare occaisions when my ol Elsie was running well, nothing comes close!

lol, great stuff mate.... Im really looking to get stuck in with this one, I heard all the horror stories but it really didnt come in to it when it came to handing money over. i just got in fired her up and went doolally round tescos, great fun..... Reminded me of the same power from my old 300zxTT, but this thing can actually turn corners.lol

just really need to figure out whee to get good stuff at reasonable prices now. the search continues.lol
