rx engine into mx5?

i have only just thought of this...to be honest i havnt thought much about it apart from it would be nice lol.
 
i guess the engine bay on the mx5 would be to small?
but i thought as im on this forum i might aswell ask.
 
does anyone think its possible to get the rx7 engine into the mx5?
the 1.3turbo one?
 
without a stupid amount of hassle?

Well I\'ve seen the LS1 5.7L V8 in mx5\'s so I would think there is enough room.

13B REW engine in a 5 is definatley doable.... there was one in Oz that had one done & was pushing 320bhp @ the hubs!!! was in a mag a few years ago.
