Hi Guy\'s I have noticed in the cold weather the last week or so my rx7 is very hard to start. it tuns over a lot. if I give it a bit of throttle it goes eventually and once runnning is fine.. However I am a bit worried about flooding it while trying to start it.. Is there some adjustment on the throttle body for cold start? I have  aleaking LIM gasket I know which also makes hot start a bit temperamental but in normal ambient conditions it starts fine.

Can someone give me some advice on whether I should start it with lots of gas a bit of gas or if there is some adjustments I can make to help?

Thank you
Lee

This is what im partly finding, im guessing it might be the battery, as its cold it gives less power 2 the starter motor, my battery is fairly new, but I would guess with an older battery it might find it harder, make sure u turn off all extra accessories such as the blower? Just a thought.

I have not long got a new battery and it seems to tunr over okay.. I don\'t normally have anything else on either?? With a rotary cold should do it a favor as everything should be nice and tight!!

run a warmer leading plug.  assuming you are running 9\'s all round change to leading 7\'s....as long as you are running a fairly standard lump...
Definately want it mate but the dog has just died so will be getting the missus a new dog for christmas....
Sounds like a good deal but will have to ask the dragon first.....  :flamed  :spank

Thank you i\'ll give that a whirl! I stil have the old boxes so I can see what\'s gone in.. but they were all the same I know that much. Which is classed as leading.. I have never been sure on that. Top or bottom?  Will that help warm start as well as cold start??
At the moment I am on a stock motor but looking to run a single turbo set-up with my stock ports some additional injectors a Power FC ECU and go for around 400bhp. wil the 7\'s still be okay? I gather that\'s not asking too much of the rotary to get that power!

Cheers

the leading plugs are the lower ones....but on a modded engine its probably best to run 9\'s and above...but hey your ok for now....

Cheers mate.. I\'ll try and get a pair of 7\'s for now.. I checked and mine are all 9\'s.. I guess the LIM gasket won\'t help much and I need to check the TPS voltages to make sure what they are.
