Good numbers those not bad for a T11 with a wee tubbie.
What does 403 ATH equate to FWHP?

403 @ hubs = 471.5 @ flywheel.

Working these out with the info i got from Thor Engineering after lengthy discussions when we had the MRC dyno day there :Party

But we seem to have the same problem of breaking things:chat

what have you broken this time. And i didn\'t break it just twisted the gearbox so much could not get gears:)  V good figures you gonna rev it higher?

Personally I reckon Hub to flywheel loss is only about 50bhp in my experience ;)

Make that a bit high, I did back to back tests a few years ago using CPL dyno dynamics RR and Abbeys hub dyno, same day about 3 hours inbetween tests. 317 RWHP and 348 hub HP so about 10% is a fair guess.

cjr

ant is talking about flywheel i beleive

Hubs to flywheel is about 17% as per Thors estimation on rwd cars :Thumbs-up

17% is the norm for Dyno Dynamics wheel dyno, I should have read Ants post correctly the 50hp differential between hubs and FWHP is pretty close, mind I dont know if that is accross the board.

The thing with dynos - they give you an indication of what power your engine has, the best thing to do is keep using the same machine be it hub or wheel to ensure continuity.

Where it gets confusing is when you start comparing the 2 and trying to work out the differences:2Confused

Agree with you there John, if you are doing loads of mods then you need to use the same Dyno method to see exactly what your gains are as 2 different ones will show seperate figures for your mods. :)

Hopefully nothing yet, but i seem to be plagued with upsets and weak parts.Would love to take it higher to see just where it is making peak power and torque, but the seals are a headache.

they warping? had that a few times makes it a sod to start:) Would be interesting to see to graph for higher revs so we could compare.

No warped tips, new 3mm steels which will start to chatter if i go any higher. Had ceramics in originally, but one cracked.
