Engine number.

One of my mates brothers has just been given an TII engine. He lives in south africa and has to register the engine before he can fit it to a car. He has looked all over the engine but can\'t find a number on it to identify it. Has anyone any idea where abouts it is stampped if it is at all?

Should be stamped on top of the front iron, along one side (right side as you look at it IIRC).

Some of the later crated engines that Mazda supplied don\'t seem to have a number though...
