yes dynos are tuning tool but dont tell you how well a CAR has been built to do what it was built for, which is what we are talking about.  The thread title is : norris design evo. any rex to match it?    Not, 1000 bhp engine!


As for too much power,  it is much harder to drive a huge powered car that is very laggy and peaky round a track,  throttle response does come into a litle but when your power climbs 500 bhp in less than a 1000 rpm, it makes it almost impossible to get traction round a circuit and its almost like an ON/OFF switch.

The thing that shocks me the most is Jonus is still running standard suspension shocks and bushes (not even coilovers).. Think he\'s uprating them for this year but only to poly bushes and KW coilovers.
The drive train is stock too

Agreed.  As far as I can see you can spend as much time and money, and put as much engineering into a car as you like but unless it performs at its given discipline(s) its all irrelevant. Norris seems to have built a racing, car, well let it race...

That said I do admire a good bit of engineering.  I probably love the building, the craftsmanship going into these cars more than the racing! :2eek

I seen this car in action when it had 850\'ish bhp and it was damp - the car was sat on the spot most of the time as it was spinning everywhere..... but when it was dry the think covered the distance like nothing i\'ve seen on a street legal car. Would love to see a serious RX against it to see how the power is delivered.

sorry, i must have missed your point,  i was talking about people who brag about power but dont produce results on the strip,  you have been on the strip so its obviously not aimed at you! :Thumbsup! now get out there and get practicing,  lets see some 9\'s :spank

very impressive rexman. how come your 60 foots are that high? id imagine it spins like a bitch! im running 1.79-1.89 60 foots in my 300hp pulsar.
