I bought a FD with rebuilt engine and after reading that it should consume about 0.5-1 litre of oil per 1200km i am nervous there is something wrong with my engine. According to papers is has about 3000km since rebuild.

I have driven about 1200km now but the oillevel on the dipstick has only dropped 1 maybe 2mm. Should\'nt 0.5-1l show more then 1-2mm on the stick?
Can the oilmeteringpump be bad?

There is nothing weird with exhausts like white or blue smoke. It had perfect emissions on a test i did last week.

My FD never used to use that much oil. The figure of 100ml springs to mind but unsure if thats per 1000 miles, you might not notice that on the dip stick. A few of us are going down the two stroke oil way with seperate tank. I already have a thread with it started on my FC TII Cab.  What do you call perfect emissions? are you running decat? airpump? with these items removed then you should not be getting perfect emissions unless you have some sort of ECU that can fine tune your settings at idle.  On my FD even without a cat but with airpump my CO was about 0.47 and HC around 300. If they are around this mark then dont worry as this car although sold is still going strong after an engine rebuild, plenty of track days and I can only imagine that it still uses the same amount of oil which was hardly noticeable.
There is a test you can do to put your mind at ease but you will have to disconnect one of the feeds to measure the amount, also you can see the tubing, see if its full of oil, no air locks etc, if in doubt run some premix as well, better to be safe than sorry, quite a few run both systems but personally you have to eventually run one or the other.

Ok so i need not worry then..

With perfect emmissions i mean, to get past swedish emissiontest. (CO=0.01%, HC=45ppm)
All cat\'s and airpump and original ecu, intakefilter etc..
Everything original that is..
