Air temp sensor location

Where abouts in the system is this located, i.e is my PFC commander reading showing the air temp after it has been through the intercooler, or at the air intake, or somewhere else.

The air temp sensor is on the underside of the upper inlet manifold, just next to the throttle linkage.
