its like that one but two piece, go to http://www.racingbeat.com/FRmazda1.htm
for look. i will be selling it if i can get a side exit. if not i will have to cut some of my engine bay up to fit it in, dont want to do that if i can help it.

i know the one you mean i have the same on my 45DCOE i have seen side exit ones but they are usually for 2 carbs, best bet would be to try rx7club.com (US) whats the problem with the one you have?
any pictures?

ive put the engine in my hillman imp, it all fits snug, except i would have to cut into my rear parcel shelf and bring the carb intake through the top into the inside of the car. i would then have to build a box for it, firewall it and take an intake from one of the side windows -or- get a side intake manifold, see what i mean!
i will try and upload some old pics, and get some new this weekend

thanks for that, i should have asked ages ago, i thought the racing beat manifold was the best option at time. ive emailed atkins to see if it takes the dellorto carb, if so i will sell the racing beat one and buy the atkins, job done. it will look so much better and no one will have a clue what lurking below.
ill let you know how i get on.

i will get more pics at weekend, i have done a good bit more since these pics. its mated to a type 2 vw box with kennedy adapter plate and stage two clutch. ive got most of the coolant plumbing in now. do you think i should have the oil cooler at the front or could i get away with keeping it at back with an electric fan?
cheers

cooling is key as the rotary does get rather hot, i would stick it up front if you can (persume you rad is going there?) you may get away with it in the rear but rather up front than change it later

Good work,
Leave RB manifold and dellorto 48 in and better to firewall/plasticwindow from the back your seat as few imp\'s bike engined doing this way,
less work and save the cost of new carb,  and hope to see the imp in action in the hill.;)
