As above, I have just bought a fresh rebuilt FD and I am currently putting 10/40 mineral oil in. Only problem is the oil pressure is really low, Any ideas?

Ah magic, Thanks for the help would you reccomend replacing the 10/40 before running in or during to the 5/30.

Are you in contact with the rebuilders of the engine ?

The oil debate is a big one, and there are a lot of people on here thats will disagree with whatever you put in lol...

PLUS, you can;t mix mineral with synthetic, really really bad idea.  Best bet is to get some advice from a tuner or your engine builder to be honest.  I only use this because the car is used to it and i dont want to start changing things.

Difficult to tell what oil it used to use, This is the car:

I now have the engine in all wiring in and fluids, car is now running smooth on 10/40 halfords mineral oil on a fresh rebuilt engine.

Would it be a good idea to keep using this if its what I have started using on the fresh engine?

Oh and I dont know the builder as it was a friend of the previous owner.

I have been using 10w40 mineral oil for 3 years and the previous owner used 10w40 mineral oil since it had been imported about 6 years ago.

Can\'t wait for the summer!
