Brooklands â€" Sunday 27th April

MRC kicks of the season with our annual Spring Rotor show at Brooklands Museum, in Weybridge, Surrey.

For those of you who have not attended Brooklands before, this is a perfect family day out at the home of British Motoring Racing.

This event will now be more enjoyable as you will also have the opportunity to visit Mercedes-Benz World, which is located on the Brooklands site and can be accessed by a joining foot bridge.

There is no entrance fee to go and visit Mercedes Benz World, and between 1.00 pm to 2.00 on the day there will a display of driving by the “Silver Arrows” out on the track.

We therefore hope that many of you will be able to join us on Sunday, 27th April and take advantage of being able to visit both museums.

Just for fun we will be having a quiz on the Brooklands Museum, should you wish to take part, in which the outright winner will receive a prize on the day.

Don’t forget, that all full paid up members will have their entrance fee paid on the day. If you hold a family membership, do not forget this will include your partner and 2 children under 15.

I wonder if someone can ask MB to please bring a C-111 along ?  :-)

nikp

hehe, nice one martin!

Which one though? Their twin rotor, or tripple rotor? :D

I\'m really hoping I can come to it this year. Got to get my engine in to be able to make it, but should hopefully be able to get there.

Aceman

Is there like an MRC stand or is it simply going to be a turn up and park anywhere jobbie??

Sorry, never been to brooklands before.....  :(

Hi Aceman

There will be an offical club stand, all the cars, or as many as possible will be parked inside the enclosure outside the Brooklands Club House.

Once we are full up in there, members will then park up their cars outside of the enclosure but see for anyone to see and admire:cool

Look forward to seeing you Sunday week.

Hi Lisa

What time will be people be there from? (rather, what time does the place open)

I ask, as i will be heading past in the morning (and can set off a bit earlier to give myself more time), and would like to drop in for an hour or two

cheers

Hmmm - i don\'t seem to be able to edit my own posts - no button.

Anyway - meant to say in the previous post, that my turning up is dependant on Rotechniks finishing the work on my car next week.

Put me down as a possiblity, depends on the weather!
Look out for me-black gen2 with a white hood!!
Hopefully see some of you down there!!
So much BHP........and no where to gallop!!!!!

nikp

My car is running now! It either depends upon my car having an mot (in which case I\'m definate) or if it doesn\'t, then getting it booked in in time, and passing!!

strange_days_uk

right after a night shift, I really want to come to this meet though so may well come along for the afternoon at least.
