Is it bad for the engine (13b 6port) to run on mixed oils.
by mixed oils i just mean a different brand.
My cars currently running on castrol gtx 10w40 so would i have a problem if i put a similar oil but different brand in with it next time i fill up?

No problem as long as the similar oil is to the right engine spec as a mineral oil for your engine. (The GTX is a mineral). Tesco are doing GTX 10W 40 at £12.99 for 4 litres.
