A quick question... how does the petrol cap cover spring open as mine doesn\'t. Should there be a spring somewhere? If anyone can help I\'d be grateful as whenever I go out for petrol I have to take someone out with me, one person to push the lever in the car down and me opening the cap with my fingernails. It\'s a bit of a pain.

Any help gratefully received.

I think there are some rubber stops on the inside of the cap cover, on the right hand side as you look at it. I had one of these missing and it didn\'t open, got it replaced and now it does.

There\'s a little metal tab which is pushing on the cover.  So when you release the locking mech (if yours isint stuck) then it pops open.  It could be that the metal tab/spring is just bent in?
