Right here are the symptons:

One turn of the stalk to side lights - Nothing happens
2nd turn of the stalk to main lights - Nothing happens
Pull on stalk - Lights pop up and flash full beam!
Also no rear lights or dash lights?

I have had and auto electrician have a look - He has installed a seperate switch on the stearing column - Turns on dash and rear lights

So I still have no headlights unless I drive while pulling the stalk, blinding all in my way!

Auto Electrician states it needs a new relay, on searching through similar problems on here I found someone to have sourced a similar, if not, exactly the same problem, to the wire between the \'TNS\' Relay (fuse box by the front slam panel) and the 15a Tail fuse in the drivers footwell!

But the auto electricain states it needs a new relay?

I have changed the TNS relay and nothing has changed.

Can anyone tell me where the headlight relay is located. The diagram I have states there should be one next to the fuse box that sits next to the battery? But being a Jap FD3S 1991 it dose not seem to be there on mine?

Any help greatly appreciated as I need the car to drive to work!

Thank you

check and best to replace all them little fuses by driver side footwel.    I had a same problem with mine and was sorted after changing them + also check fuses under the bonnet + 2 earthing points at front off the car behind the bumper.

Right looking for Relays in the Dark is never a good idea.

Just got back from work and in the little light I have just tested the \'TNS relay\' to \'Tail 15a fuse\' wire and found there to be a break as with Ian\'s diagnosis of the same problem. Ian your a star.

The Headlight Relay is where it states in the workshop manual next to the battery fuse box (Hidden in all black) tested and found it to be the problem!

If new Relays are only £5 then a new Relay it is!

Thank you everybody new i\'d get it sorted when I had some light :Laugh
