hello i\'ve got a gen 3 rx7 and just got a single turbo for it. is there a page or a site that shows you how to fit one. its a t70. thanks jay:confused:

antnicuk

search the site, there is loads of information regarding single turbos,
400 BHP - 650 KG\'s = 616 BHP Per Ton of Rotary Power

That\'s the way to do it! :Thumbsup!

pretty easy really bud, remove all the air filter box, twins and all the rats nest and piping including all the little black box thingys, bolt on yer manifold n downpipe, bolt on the tubby, connect the oil lines n thats pretty much it :D

not being funny but if you have to ask a question like that in such a generic fashion i suggest you take it somewhere to have it done dude! no offense. But you need custom ECU\'s and bigger injectors and theres lots of stuff to consider. You cant just bolt a single turbo to a standard car and go really fast.

I suggest you sell it to me and then use the money i give you to buy more supporting mods for when you do go single turbo!

yip what mr bobfish said, what i saids how to go about fitting it but theres alot more u gotta do to run it.. i.e porting, fueling, new ecu`s, injectors, mapping ect..

pmsl don\'t worry i know all that. got 750cc injc got a knight sport ecu. no point in having it re mapped till everything is fitted...
just fitted o paddle cluch looking for a V-mount when get paid lol. its off the road for winter will be all up and running by march.
and your
right don\'t know what i\'m doing thats why i ask.
just not sure how the turbos come off and if you need to block anything up ect. is there anywhere that tells you like step by step how to?
not very good at typing thats why i just get strait to point lol thanks again jay:rolleyes:

You won\'t be able to remap the knightsport ecu, you need an Apexi PFC or Motec ecu and I\'m no expert but 750 injectors sounds too small to me.

elford_tim

750cc sounds far to small (I assume they\'re intended as a replacement for the primaries which are 550cc IIRC), you\'ll find that most people run far bigger injectors.

And as JohnnyP already mentioned, even if the Knightsports ECU is mappable (which IIRC it isn\'t), you won\'t find anybody in the UK who\'s able to map it. Plus, I hope that you checked it is an ECU for a single turbo car as they do one for twin turbos as well...

Yikes! injectors too small, wrong ecu, no mention of uprated fuel pump, need FPR, manifold, downpipe, oil lines, etc, etc. Take it to someone who knows!!

Boywhizzz

not meaning to sound daft lol but dose it matter what ecu? as in twin or single?

how much would you be looking at £?

It very much does, because amongst other things the ECU controls the boost and turbo switchover. It\'s going to get a tad confused if there\'s nothing to switch over to if it tries and fails.
