Black RX-8 in Esher , but no response :-((

Saw this car twice, once on Sat morning, I was in the 323, and hooting and flashing was met with no response.

Then I saw it last night, stopped next to it at the traffic light in Esher at aout 10pm. I was in the RX-7, surely I would get some response this time.

So I hoot, wave, and do a thumbs up. He looks over with no expression, as if to say -"what?".

I point at the car, and do a thumbs up. The girlfriend looks over... nothing. He looks again..nothing. They both jsut shrug.

I can only assume one or some of the following:

1) " I have a fancy new car, and it  puts me far above you "
2) " Its not really my car, its a company car, and I\'ll only have it for 2 years, so I dont care what it is, really"
3) " I am too thick to realise its a Rotary engine, and so was the RX-7"

Can anyone add any more possibilities?

Ive given up on them.  Maybe one day one will flash or wave at me and then ill get all excited...

My general theories are

1 - They dont know what an RX7 is
2 - They dont care.  They just bought this because it looks nice or is the thing to have at the moment

Im thinking that is probably a combination of both together.  They probably dont know what an RX7 is, but dont care either.
