Hi everyone just some friendly advise if you are planning to do a hpi check on a car do NOT use this site. They do not use the nation database that all the other companys use and quite often give out false information.

I have done two hpi checks with them now on two cars that i know have been recorded as written off by an insurance company, And they both came back clear saying he cars were completly fine.
When i emailed them they just said that there information was right and to read the terms and conditions which basically say they dont guarantee and information they give out.

So let this be a warning to you if you have done a check with them try someone like RAC just to make sure, it could save you a lot of money.

Spread the word

DONT USE //WWW.MYCARCHECK.COM unless you wanna buy a spam fritter

I got the RAC to data check a second hand transit van for me, everything was ok so I bought it. Three years later I had a knock at me door , it was the police who had come to tell me my van was stolen. They were very good about it, did all the engine number checks ect and told me  the thieves  had done a good job at hiding it.
As there were about 5000 stolen vans for that model and year they said I could keep it, .and the RAC, your only guaranteed  for 1 year, even the police didn’t know that at the time. I asked them how to check in future and they said ring your local police and ask them to check it for you LOL..
At the time he told me he was on a case with 4 m3 bmw’s, 2  years old and all on the same reg, one real owner and none had had them data checked, poor people.
