Hi all

I belive its about that dreded time in my FD\'s life where it needs a rebuild as im on about 65k

I need some names and contact details and why you recomend them as ive heard some bad storys about places and dont want to make the same mistake as im not the highest of earners and can barley aford to run my 7

so all help welcome

also what would you say is a middle market price and a full tune up price.

what could i get for say 4K ish

Shaq

i always hear good stuff about Pip at Wgt
  //www.wgtautodevelopments.co.uk

a friend of mine had his FD rebuilt/street ported there, says he is "sh*t hot!"  only thing is he is quite far up north but its gotta be worth it if you know its gonna get done properly

I suppose it might be prudent to start putting the money aside, but I dont think it is necessarily going to expire soon. You might get 80k, 100k, or even more, who knows?

davefrith

Just cos its on 65k is no indication of it needing a rebuild

Does it have any other signs that it needs one ?

sorry i didnt read the post properly !

thought your car needed a rebuild
just because your car is at 65k dosent mean it has to have a rebuild, just depends on how well its been taken care of, maintained ect....

but there is no set timescale on when it will go you will prob get a few tell tail signs... i.e. not starting as well from a cold start, (as there will be a loss of compression.)

my car is at 115km which is about 68k (i think)

best bet is to get a compression test done.

yeah im not sure whether it needs a rebiuld, but i want to tune it up so i just thought a rebuild would be best , maybe im wrong here ,

the second turbo seems to be non exsistant when engine is hot , this could be solinoid or pipes etc.. not to big , allways starts fine so i dunno really.

As the guys in somerset I\'d say there were poepl closer than Jimmy\'s too!

Tim/RX Motors just down the road around Blanford Forum has built \'a few\' motors over the years :) Cheap too.
