Heat warning light and engine holding back!

about a month ago, under load in 3rd 4th and 5th gear the car has felt as if the engine is holding back after about 5000 rpm.

Had the plugs and leads changed whilst out of the country, used the car after returning and all seemed fine, and now it has started happening again.

and also yesterday my heat warning lamp came on and stayed on for around 5-7 seconds.

could this be something telling mthat my cat is dead.

any help would be nice

If you have no PFC and the stock cat then yeah I think that\'s the EGT warning so sounds like you need a new cat to me. But I could be wrong.

yes i do have pfc, so i dont know where that leaves me?

obviously i know that the heat lamp blinks/flashes when the pfc is showing knock but i dont know what it means when it is on permenantly for a short period.

With the PFC the heat light can also show if a sensor has gone faulty... but you will need the commander to view which one

yes i have the commander, but wouldn\'t have the foggiest, on looking at faulty sensors on it :2Confused
